In early 2002, MITSUBISHI gas and chemical company of Japan developed a new SAPE integrated deoxidizer product which could   confirm whether there is oxygen in the bag from two sides, and there are four model number of development.

Under the condition of 25 centigrade, the product can absorb oxygen in 24 hours, and it is suitable for the food with the range of water activity in 0.65~0.95. In a few hours, the oxygen indicator can be changed from blue to pink, and it turns from pink to blue in about 30 minutes after opening. The rate of oxygen absorption and discoloration changes with the state of use and the form of packaging.

If the product is placed under light, the color will fade away over time. Therefore, it is required to keep the product under the condition of 2~15 C and shading, and the product can keep the stable discoloration performance for two months after the general production. But if it is used in high oil food, its discoloration performance will be affected.

The deoxidizer of the product is quick acting, and is suitable for the fresh-keeping packaging of perishable food such as pastries. The oxygen status in the food package can be identified by the color of the oxygen indicator. In addition, it can also be used to check whether the packaging bag has porosity and sealing, making food production and management easier, thereby greatly improving production efficiency and reducing production costs.
